5-Day Gorillas & Wildlife Uganda Safari

Pick up from a hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Meet and greet our company representative at the hotel address after having your breakfast and head to the biologically diverse and unique magnificent green impenetrable rainforest in southwestern Uganda, which sustains almost half of the world's mountain gorilla population. You will have a stop over at Kayabwe for photographs at the Uganda Equator and souvenir shopping accompanied with an en route lunch in Mbarara town. Proceed to Bwindi, the home of gorillas in Uganda.

Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast and briefing at the headquarters in the Bwindi Impenetrable NP, set off for the mountain gorilla tracking inside the Bwindi forest. You need to carry drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots while the rangers will provide you with a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is one of the unique activities you will enjoy while photographing and observing the gorillas. After tracking, come back to the lodge and relax. Should you have the energy this afternoon, go for a village walk and see how Ugandans live in their community homestead.

Buhoma Community Rest Camp / Bakiga Lodge / Gorilla Mist Camp / Buhoma Rest Camp

After having your breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National. You will pass through Ishasha sector to have a chance of spotting the tree climbing lions. These lions climb the trees to avoid wet grass, get shelter or retreat from the annoying flies and insect bites. After the game drive in Ishasha sector, thye drive will take you to your accommodation.

Wake up very early in the morning for a game drive through Kasenyi tracks in Queen Elizabeth NP. The area has a wide biodiversity of habitats that contain almost 100 types of mammals and over 600 different bird species. Look out for wildlife such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, leopards, Uganda kob, and many others. After the game drive, return to the hotel/lodge for late morning breakfast.

After having your lunch, embark on a water safari on Kazinga channel. The Kazinga channel is said to contain the world's largest concentration of hippos. Have sightings of aquatic sitatunga antelope, crocodiles, hippos and other animals that visit the channel in search for food and water. If lucky enough you may even have sightings of the solitary leopard.

Your safari has finally come to an end, you will be transferred back to your preferred dropoff point in Entebbe / Kampala.
